Actually my point was that I wouldn't go on posting on the topic since I'm sure people are
getting tired of reading it. However I wasn't saying that in no way would I post again in
the thread. So your accomplishment isn't as great as you think.

Cheers, Evan

This is an UNmoderated newsgroup. The only moderating force is the limiting power of the
title of the group itself. Other than that, we could have anybody come in here and post
pretty much anything. Given this scenario, and compared to several other unmoderated and
actively participated newsgroups I find this ng a good place for people to get info, share
experiences, and even get into each others' skin with the right spirit. Unmoderated ng can
never be tailor made to anyperson's specs. While some may find it irksome, this character
is the strength of the forum we participate in. Occasionally there are calls made in posts
within this ng for people to go elsewhere and volunteer their stories and experiences to
privately held forums. None of these private bulletin boards can become as exciting and
useful as this censor-free discussion.
(P.S. I even liked Himmler when he was not crossposting)

Indeed, that's why I've tried to make clear that I am eternally grateful to all
those kind souls who stick around and help the rest of us who are just stumbling
through, Betastar.

And Grinch, to his credit, is a wealth of information. He is funny as often as he is a
bit crude, and so I, at least, take his more biting comments with a grain of salt.

All the best, Beth

5 days is enough information for someone to figure out that the same question they are
about to ask has been covered in detail in the past 5 days. If they cannot take the time
to read any messages before posting, what makes you think 5 days is not enough?

Stewing over what one, Jonathan? Just so you know, I'm not stewing over anything. I'm
actually quite relaxed over the whole conversation.

Cheers, Evan

Five days is what I have, maybe not what they have. Every question is not re-asked every
five days. Some people do not have the luxury of sitting at their computers hour after
hour searcching for and reading all the posts.

For those of us who have been reading along time it seems to be a constant rehashing of
the same questions. To someone just starting the journey it is a confusing mess.

Inparticularly, some {not all} cable @home users only have a few hours retention of
messages on their server. Since I switched from modem to cable, I can now only download
about the last 6 hours and sometimes 18 hours worth of postings. So not all people can get
a newsgroup history. Of course, I guess if you really truly want to study, you can go to
deja and spend years searching through all the posts ;o)

The only person that continually whines in this group is you. Another sign of that
miniscule penis I suppose.

Is this something new @home is doing? That's what I had back in 99 and never had that
problem. I wish I did actually then I wouldn't have had about 2,000 messages or more to
filter through when I first subscribed. :P

Now Grinch. No, as in all my posts there are only a few that have the attitude that so
many have begun speaking of. That much I have made quite clear. I've always maintained
that there are some great people here who are very helpful.

Cheers, Evan

Heh, uh-huh.. Well I see you've developed that healthy sense of paranoia now. Actually
this is probably the third thread that I've posted in on things like this. I'm not whining
on the issue at all. Also I guess you hadn't read but I didn't start this thread and I
wasn't the only one to post in it.

As for your repeated fascination with my penis I'll say it once again. Your childish
playground antics won't drag me into a fight.

Cheers, Evan

In that case you really ought to proof read your posts before you send them. "Return to
its helpful ways" is obviously not what you meant.

Actually it is quite possible to be helpful and display an attitude.
