Default Opening bank accounts

My (European) OH is moving back with me to the UK. He is going to need to open a bank account - I already have one. I was looking at HSBC which is my bank and it looks like there are fees on some accounts. Don't want to pay fees Also, when this account is opened we won't have a fixed address. How could I get around this?
