Default That old chestnut moral turpitude

Is it ok to tick no if you have been found guilty of running a brothel?

Sunning herself on a Miami beach and laughing with friends in the sea, Nicole Minetti appears to have forgotten that she is facing five years behind bars.

The Anglo-Italian showgirl was sentenced in July for procuring and grooming prostitutes for Silvio Berlusconi’s bunga bunga parties.

But she seemed to have left the weight of the world behind her when she was pictured enjoying a break in the Florida coastal city over Christmas.

A court in Milan ruled that the 28-year-old, whose mother is British, acted as a Madam running a stable of more than 30 young women for the ex-premier’s sex parties.

However, she has been allowed to walk free while she appeals the decision.

Minetti, a regional councillor for Berlusconi’s People of Freedom party in Milan, helped to recruit 33 female guests, who were given envelopes stuffed with 500 Euro notes and expensive gifts after…

She must have lied to get into the country. If she had ticked yes esta would have been denied. And it would be unlikely she would be granted a visa with criminal case appeal pending/very recent conviction. Just like Boy George wasn't granted a visa whilst his false imprisonment charge was working it's way through the uk court system and joey barton was denied due to recent convictions at that time.

I am surprised she was allowed to leave Italy with an appeal pending to be fair

She could already have an existing visa due to her relationship with Berlusconi - ie, she may have joined him when he traveled to the US as head of the Italian government.

Otherwise, there is always the possibility that she may have applied for a B1/B2 visa and been approved for it.

There is also the possibility that little green men from mars will be serving at Sonics later tonight. Somehow I doubt that as well.

The visa would give her right to knock on the door - I am not sure that it would overcome in itself the question of inadmissibility.

Obviously the CBP disagreed, as they let her in.

Obviously must mean something different to me.

We do know she is here as evidenced by first hand reports and photographs.

However, we do not know if she ever presented herself for inspection or if she swam in from Cuba?

On the assumption that she did present herself for inspection then I am not really sure how it is possible to draw a conclusion as to what the CBP agreed or disagreed with. They may or may not have been in possession of all the facts. They may or may not have been lied to. Who knows for sure?

The bookies rarely know for sure in advance of every bet who will win with 100% reliability, they do however have a pretty good record at getting it right. I wouldn't want to place a bet on her having entered and disclosed everything that was material to her status. They have enough cash already.
