Question - is anyone familiar with the OREDY brand of quick struts or Detroit Axle or Prime Choice?
Wasn't sure whether I should just go with Monroe or not?
Monroe Quick Struts are $130 each from Amazon and the others are $130 for the pair.
Thanks for any insight.

I would go for the Monroe I have known people use them, I have no experience with the other brands but a couple of years ago did research shocks when we were fitting a true two inch lift and found that with the cheaper brands the ride deteriorated quite quickly.

Is this even still in existence? The copyright date on the website is 2006!

I never pretended to be unbiased - I am absolutely biased in favor of the period Schumacher raced in and against the current era, which for me is about as entertaining was watching someone else watch paint dry. If I gave off any kind of a hint of objectivity, it was entirely unintentional.

Plus, if you're going to talk about crashes, as much as he is my favorite driver even now, would he have won in 1990 if he hadn't taken out Prost (and Prost himself wasn't exactly clean either)? It is racing, after all. If you were to eliminate all the drivers who have been a bit dirty, you wouldn't be left with many.

So yeah, anyone else notice the Tesla Roadster announcement last night? Theater and hype, but the car is legitimately interesting.

Interesting, but 150K too expensive for me to even think about.

Really interesting launch.

I personally can't see the semi-truck taking off. 30 cents a mile difference between that and a diesel truck they're estimating. Not to mention the purchase price of the Tesla will be immense.

Roadster looks very nice though. For $200,000 for the base model it ought to be nice!

Absolutely. Still, it's worth talking about in a "18 year old Top Gear fan talking about how they'd 'have' the La Ferrari" ridiculous kind of way.

0-60 in 2 seconds, they claim. I'll say it's interesting.

But I always did think Teslas were kind of cool.

Also worth noting Elon Musk is a bit of a helmet.

Still would like a Tesla if I had the money.

Not at all.

Given the choice though, I would still take the Elise.
