Default IFTTT to track Politics

Some of you may already be using IFTTT for home automation. You can also use it to track political topics.

Interesting, thanks, that looks like it could be useful.

What is "home automation" though? On second thoughts I'll withdraw that question before some smartass tells me google is my friend or whatever!!

It's when you control things like you curtains via an app from your phone, or use such an app to turn on lights, heating etc, possibly even one of the robo cleaners. Well that's my take in it. (probably totally wrong but then I am well past my sell by date).

IFTTT allows you to control things like Hive, Nest, Wemo from conditions. Like you could control you light depending on daylight saving or when you phone connects to you home wifi. It also allows connection via Alexa or other voice activated services. It is limited by one IF condtion, there is no if, then, else option.

I use IFTTT to email my shopping list from the Alexa app to me. I update my shopping list by shouting at Alexa while I'm cooking. Make sense?

You're safe with smat TVs, especially Sumsung. They don't really listen to you.

Home automation is when you shout out what you want to happen, for five minutes, then walk over and flip the switch by hand.
