Houston Foodies
I found a new source for bacon, black pudding, sausages as well as baked goods. The British Depot - they have a stall at the farmers market on Tamina Road (Woodlands Area) but will soon be opening a brick and mortar store in the same area. She said she works with a local butcher and everything is made to authentic British recipes. It was blimmin' lovely...

Nice! I've found them online and bookmarked the page. The sausages are very reasonable for locally sourced.

As a general question ... Is there any major difference in taste between British Black Pudding and French Boudin Noir?

I've never had the French version but from a quick google it appears they are 'essentially' the same and the differences are more down to individual recipes. We had a lovely breakfast at Chiqitos when we were home last month and their black pudding had a 'kick' of chilli, it was lovely.
I think that's right. We had the French version (meaning that the butcher was of French descent as was the local community) growing up and I loved it.

I thought I was too, but the call of the black pudding was strong.... I will let you know next time I need a fix. We only bought enough for 2 brekkies just in case in wasn't great but now that I know it's good I'll have to stock up 😄

I found a store in grapevine, tx - which has the same. i usually go there once a month and get a few packs of bacon and sausages.
They imported the real easter eggs back in April, $28.99 a piece, didn't care - bought 4 of them.
