I saw that, but if he had travel insurance , I would assume you claim on that first and let the insurance company deal with claiming the money back from the UK

I believe his no longer travelling, back in the US.

For ongoing medical treatment in the US after the period of travel insurance has presumably expired and the OP is no longer travelling? That seems doubtful. Had the OP incurred medical expenses in the UK they would presumably have been covered by any travel insurance.

From my experience , most insurance payouts do not pay ongoing medical expenses. Most will give you a lump sum as an injury claim.
