Our street's starting to flood out, not good. Power and water are still fine for now, just hope we catch a break in the rain to let the drains keep up.

Love and hugs.

That is all.

Very sorry to hear the news. I hope it won't be too bad. Be safe, that's the main thing.

Checking in. Have power. No flooding in house. Street was partially flooded earlier but managed to go down slightly. It would be great if it stopped raining. We are under a voluntary evacuation order but considering they also have told us to stay off the roads, we are staying put.

Didn't see Weeze's post until after I had sent mine. Of course, so glad that the Weeze's are still safe and able to hold the line.

Very concerned about SM.

Looks pretty bad on tv....and likely 2 more days of rain or more. Very concerned for everyone there...and the aftermath of it all.

We are safe. We ended up being 'told" to leave for our own safety although we had already made the decision to go. We are staying with friends in the next town.

It was very emotional. Trying to pack essentials and move furniture all the while wondering if we would have anything left when it is all over. I cried, I dropped the truck keys in the flooded ditch and a snake swam across my boots when I was trying to find the keys.

Then tonight watching all the helicopter rescues I realized that really we were lucky. We had left in our own vehicle to go to a safe house with great friends to take care of us. They have fed us and made us laugh and tried to take our minds off our house. They are going back with us tomorrow and they will help us when clean up time starts. Our home may be a complete loss but we have support. Some of the rescued people had nothing but the clothes on their backs.

Thanks guys for thinking of us. M is sleeping now, he is exhausted. I'm hyped up right now but will probably crash soon. It's been a weird few days.

Great to hear from you. Do try to rest -- you're going to need all your strength in the days ahead.

Ah, this just sucks! I've been thinking about you all day, and looking for an update on Facebook, figured I'd see if you'd posted on here. I'm so sorry, it must be an awful situation, wish there was something we could do to help. At least you are safe, that's the most important thing. Hope it's not too bad when you get back.

Gawd. I am pleased to hear from you. Very relieved that you are both safe and with good friends. The rest is just horrible and I do hope that your house and belongings somehow survive.

Wheeze's . Hoping you guys are doing OK.
