Re: Floods in Texas
Stay safe Texas guys
This weekend is not looking good, eventually all the overflow from the big rivers will end up in our bayous. It would be a good time to trade the Harley for a boat
Not liking the local snake stories, they are getting too close for comfort I think I might go on another roadtrip..

the storm front going overhead right now is a tad large - like 500 miles long lol its specifically saying we will get 15 mins of heavy rain followed by several hours of moderate to light rain. But at least the tornado situation is very low!

Well, that one crept by us like a guilty pussy cat. None of the flash bang sploosh of earlier in the week. Ground is damp, but the rain gauge barely registered. Looks like north and east are getting more..hope not too bad.

I'm at work and had the spectacular lights show on the drive in. It's just started raining at the Galleria area.

This front was was very spotty by the time it reached Houston. Our subdivision and Cypress Town Center got whacked hard for twenty minutes, and 290 was apparently down to 10 mph, yet I followed just behind the storm on my commute and for most of it the spray from the roads wasn't too bad.

Skies to the east are dark, but looking west is a lot brighter. Just been in the back yard, and got some puddling out there so maybe got more rain than I thought. Also, just realized dog was in the bedroom when I woke up, so maybe we did get some thunder as well....I must have slep through it!
Looks like Dallas area is getting a bit of a pasting. Hope things OK up there Ms Elui?

Re: Floods in Texas
We had it pretty bad in Austin again in Austin last night. Mother Nature decided to pay me back for living on the top of a hill and not getting flooded bu bringing along the high winds which has taken a huge branch off one of my trees. Luckily missed the house and landed in the pool. Next thing I need to buy/hire is a tree surgeon to save the tree.

thats taking a while fr me to get my head around
There has been enough rain across Texas during May to cover the entire state nearly 8 inches deep. That's over 35 trillion gallons!
