Not necessarily this brand or size, but your typical cloth luggage with basic shape. This type of shape is best, and it has a frame so provides protection to the contents.

Samsonite Base Hits Spinner Medium

I would avoid odd shaped bags, plastic, bags without a strong frame, and the cheap brands, cheap luggage typically isn't going to handle travel well, but doesn't mean super pricey high end either, Samsonite and american tourister have always worked for me.

I don't like soft luggage...especially the ones with only a top opening. I hate having to dig through the entire case for an item. IMO the best is Samsonite lightweight hard sided cases. They come with either a 10 year or lifetime world wide warranty.

Back on topic....
Been rowing tonight and I'm cream crackered. Taking advantage of being child free tonight by eating at Torchy's tacos, washed down with Austin eastciders cider. Yummmmm

You should consider a moderate weightlifting program as well, specifically one that includes squats and deadlifts if this is a goal of yours. It'll not only develop the muscles but should also improve endurance and your running times. I use stronglifts 5x5, but basically anything with compound lifts and progressive overload will work.

Word of warning though, start low (like empty bar low) weight wise because you will get muscle soreness when you start, which goes away in a few days, but starting with low weight eases you into it and you can concentrate on form as you build up base strength.

Though you'd certainly wonder, after looking at some of the attire

Was a lot of fun, but it weren't half hard work.

Played my first game of 'soccer' over here. Found a fairly competitive league where most players who are graduates who used to play college level soccer. It made me realise I'd have been good enough for college soccer had I lived or pursued my undergrad here instead of the UK!

It was fun, but playing in the Missouri heat wasn't so fun!

I play in an over 30s recreational league out here, mostly made up of current/former AYSO coaches who decided we wanted to play as well as coaching the kids. It's officially non-competitive and there are only enough players to form 4 teams, but it's still fun.

I'm sure I'm not as good as you are, but this is my 5th season and I'm better now than I was when I started, probably around the middle of the pack in ability but I have a few good moments. I get more assists than goals, but I scored two so far this year

Nice! That sounds a decent league. I'd like to get into coaching too but my student restricts me so much on what I can do outside of classes

I was one of the best players playing the Sunday just gone, against D2/D3 ex players around my age, so made me feel good that I am basically a college standard player! However, I'm just average back home so was crazy! I scored twice and set one up from left back, so I think I impressed!

It is, though there are a few limitations in that we play on the smaller U12 fields and we usually play 7-9 a side (with subs) due to player availability unless we're having 'open' soccer when we'll make two teams of 11 plus subs from all of us.

I coached my son's team for a few years, it was fun but I'm glad he's done with it in a way too because playing is much more fun.

We have some ex college players in our teams too, there are a lot of decent players. I usually hang around on the left somewhere vaguely up front, though I'll have to track back and defend if I'm technically in midfield rather than playing as a forward. I'm shite on defense though, I haven't got the pace for it.

Signed up for my first 5km run ever in my life. I enjoy running on my own, never done a race kind of thing though. Hot Cider Hustle 5km! Caramel apple and hot cider apple at the end of the run, and also an event mug and a nice looking event quarter zip. Thankfully no 'medals for all' as I hate participation trophies/medals etc. Only the top 3 in each category get awards, which is how it should be!

I don't see anyone mentioning barre yet. That's what I do 3 times a week. It's a mix of ballet, Pilates and yoga. Super small movements designed to fatigue your muscles to the point of shaking. Then you stretch it all out to make long, lean muscles. Been a few years now.

I have yet to do a 5K race, but I do also enjoy running on my own and I run 5k (well 3.4 miles) 3-4 times a week on an ideal week.

Is there any difference running the race vs running solo? I always wonder if the presence of other runners would make everyone's pace naturally quicken a little.

I do plan to take part in at least one race next year when I'm a bit happier with my times (also I'm debating whether to try to get up to 10k for my training runs) but for now I'm content with my little loop around town.
