Had to think about this sentence, though.

"A search of the house found a partially scrawled note denying knowledge of the shooting, the court heard."

First, the note was partially scrawled; and the remainder was .... typed? written in a neat hand? Then, is writing a note denying knowledge of a crime really that effective a strategy??

I was about to say that's a nice couple of stories to kick off a WTF back home thread, but then I realized that the second story was about a scouser, so that doesn't really count.
