Default Crazy weather this week

They forecast temperatures up to 109F this week. Feel sorry for the people without AC.

It was 108 in my back yard yesterday. I've got used to it. Couldn't take the humidity though if it was humid with it.
Spent 12 days in Florida last month. Was I glad to leave

We have had rain for the last couple of weeks, well yesterday was an exception, went to walk the pup and there was moisture in the air so came back for a jacket.

Every home where I was in Florida had AC. All you hear in the evening when walking in the street (I was the only one) is the buzz of AC compressors mixed with the whine of mosquitos. The humidity is always there even at night though.

We won't be getting to 109F in Vancouver, BC but with getting into the low 90's possible, it's pretty hot for this region, most homes/apartments don't have a/c nor does transit buses, so it gonna suck.

And working outside will doubly suck...

Luckily we have a portable a/c unit that can keep the micro apartment somewhat reasonable.

I would estimate , maybe 30% of homes have AC here. We got a heat pump fitted a few years back that heats and cools. A lot of people have the window units.
