Localish meat CSA type thing.

The basic package includes a pound of beef but every other month, includes a pound of lamb too. There's a package of sausages, a decent cut of meat and a piece of poultry and usually another couple of smaller things.

For me it is homemade mac and cheese with ham, second only to homemade chicken soup. If I just want to settle in and be warm and cozy in the winter it is a large mug of hot chocolate laced with Bailey's Irish Cream and a topping of whipped cream.

Our "local" Costco sells it for a lot less than that.

To be honest, I was left wondering what on earth I'd ever seen in it

I just got some "Puff Dogs" from Trader Joes, they are in the oven now. Hoping for something close to a sausage roll. Any one else tried them?

This is mine too. So light yet sooo rich.

World Market is far away from me, & hardly ever has them, but a little specialty (read: expensive) supermarket nearby often has them in the "British" section, & they're worth every pence/penny!

They are good for what they are. Not quite a British sausage roll, as it's more of a hot dog/ savloy sausage in puff pastry, than British style sausage meat. The sausage itself was good for that style. They are a 25 minute bake.

Sounds like our Puffy Dogs. I love 'real sausage rolls' but in Aus they're always Beef and that's just wrong so if I'm not making my own, I always have the Puffy Dogs in the freezer.

Comfort food: Cheesy mash, mac and cheese, homemade chicken soup, stew and dumplings (when I can get Atora).
