"Fake News" is fake news, whichever side it comes from. There is no easy way of identifying it, and there is no virtue in appealing to authority. Yesterday's authorities can be today's liars - and, as we see, news reporting has become so corrupted it's impossible for the man in the street to identify it. We should suspect every report - especially when it serves a partisan purpose.

The only problem is the DJT supporters who can't tell the difference, or don't look further than the ends of their noses for the truth.

The only people who are panicking about "fake news" are the MSM who have been found out, and the only morals that are being questioned are the morals of their editors and journalists. So many peoples' eyes have been opened in the past year and the trust that has been lost will never be regained, not least because they don't seem to have any sense of their own wrongdoing.

Indeed. When Trump shrieked "fake news" at the CNN reporter, you just knew that CNN was accurate in its report and Trump was... lying. Which is exactly what turned out to be the case. Good for CNN on pursuing this.

Certainly with the Guardian, my major source, it is fairly easy to spot.
Comments are disabled, been a long time since they posted a fake story with comments enabled.
It is about one of their pet subjects.
The stupid thing is when a fake story is on line it takes just a moment if you want to check, I can only assume they are thinking they are preaching to the converted?

CNN back in the news for its Fake News! MSM loyalists may not know this, but in Alternative Media organs CNN's initials are now reckoned to stand for "Counterfeit News Network". One way or another, the network may have pushed its luck too far for its credibility to recover, ever.
A guy who thinks that Breitbart is a news source is in no position to claim that he opposes "fake news."
You provide links to "news" from sources such as Sputnik, which is a Russian government propaganda website. It's Pravda for the electronic age.
You're like a Klansman who is complaining about racism. If you had zero credibility, then it would be an improvement.

Another fake news story and that is just today, seems that it is a mega issue both sides of the Atlantic and through all political persuasions.

And there are channels you can complain through about errors in print media.
