Anyone paying alimony to an ex spouse back in the UK
What with the new tax rules recently passed there was a provision to stop the tax relief when paying alimony.
My tax accountant informs me that this will effect me as I pay apx $300 p/m back to the ex.
But I has understood it to only effect new court orders, anything before 2019 was grandfathered in and thus excempt from the new rules.
Anyone in a simnilar situation?
