I dislike the word "adorable". It is so overused. Be it puppies, babies, clothing, whatever. Also "excuse me". Did you want to pass me? Did you just sneeze? If you need to ask "what did I just say" or "sorry", just say so.

I use this phrase so much that it is said without much thought. When we were recently over in the UK, I used it one time, without much success. I was trying to pass someone who was clueless..... It made me think about another post I had read on here about the expression "excuse me". It works here but not other places...

"Oh my Gawd!"
even worse than the teeth grindingly annoying "Oh my God!"

There's an economic indicator that they quote on the radio news every so often.. "durable goods.". For a long time I thought they were saying "adorable goods" because (to me, anyway..) it sounds the same with an American accent.

How about overuse of the word "home."
I live in a house. It is my home. But it is not a home.. As in, "My, what an adorable home!"
To me, if I talk about "a home" I'll be referring to an institution such as a lunatic asylum...
