The other place we go two or three times a year is Boston & Cape Cod, as we have family there. Over there I notice there is Irish stuff, more than British stuff. For instance Stop and Shop in Dennis, MA has several varieties of Barry's and Bewley Tea, but no Yorkshire. Fine with me, Barry's and Bewley are both good. Bacon, butter and cheese is Irish too, rather than British. I suspect the supermarkets feel that the so called "Irish" people in Massachusetts feel more kindly towards Irish brands, even though they are essentially the same thing as British. Same with pubs, Iris seems safer to Americans than English .... in places like MA, anyway.
Would it not be cheaper to have friends mail some over in a Ziplok bag? Or are you a serious bulk buyer?

Gawd, I baulk at driving 3 miles to the local Tesco. I forgot how different a concept "distance" is in the US.

Or just order it on Amazon -- they even have a subscription service where it can be sent automatically at intervals.

When I do get tea straight from England, for instance when our son comes to visit, I get loose tea not tea bags. Lyons Red Label for instance ...

We go over to Burlington once every month or two to do our "selective" grocery shopping, i.e. stuff we can't buy locally. And wine, much better selection, also far cheaper in Vermont that in New York. Even the New York State wine is cheaper in VT.

I'm going to be in England for three months in the New Year - one criterion on which I chose the holiday cottage I have a short term winter let of, it's walking distance from a Tesco superstore!

Well that's silly, nothing that a rubber band wouldn't fix if they are that picky!!
