Failing that you could go to a Urgent Care Clinic. Sometimes, depending on insurance, it is just as cheap as seeing your PCP. That way you will have another opinion.

I thought an x-ray was standard for suspected pneumonia, the times I have had it, the doctors always confirmed by x-ray before even prescribing medication.

Community-acquired pneumonia is most commonly treated as an outpatient. You received appropriate antibiotics.

Why do you think you aren't adequately treated?

I think the OP is still sick which is why we are advising them to see their PCP again.

Yes, I read that too. I asked why they thought they weren't adequately treated. I am not sure what symptoms "I can't shake it" translates to.

I assumed that what the OP meant was that whatever symptoms had originally caused them to seek medical treatment had not gone away. In the case of pneumonia that would most likely include, coughing, difficulty breathing and generally feeling like crap ...
