Yes I wasn't sure where the views were coming from. The reminders about the KKK seem to be a common theme with posters of a certain persuasion. What it has to do with the article I'm not clear.

I'm not generally fond of stereotypes, but as a Yank, I'll offer a couple of my own:

-The dumb ones among us simply don't know when to shut up. They have a habit of using quite a few words to say very little.

-The dumb ones believe that their free speech rights obligate the rest of us to take them and their dumb views seriously.

One can find idiots on every corner of the planet. But the American ones are a whole lot prouder and are often quite a bit louder.

Well, I am not taking a popularity poll. Why don't you make some remark of substance. Am I wrong when I say the educational system in this country does not teach our history properly?

What of my actual comments do you find objectionable? Are you some left wing marxist or something? I have a hard time telling the difference between the individual and the garbage spilled forth by our media and our President.

What it teaches is proper history and where the roots came from.

The original post was that Americans do not know themselves, and that is true. Historically, the Democrats are the party of racism and hatred, not Republicans.

This is historical fact.

Is it taught in our schools? nope.

If someone wants to challenge my facts, I am game.

I hadn't realized what closed minded people you are since you only want a certain political philosophy here. If you have a specific comment on my views, then make it.

I will give you credit. I am not Republican nor Democrat and do consider myself libertarian conservative. Again though, have I said something factually wrong?

Our country has lost our way, I admit, but since I do not want to subscribe to European socialism, does that make me someone lacking in "critical thought"?

Personally, I can't wait to be told how the US was "late to the Party" in the two world wars.

Think about that for a minute. The European scorpions are fighting once again...well hell....let's jump right in.

Now, my people fought there and my relatives had limbs blown off, but the Eu types say we were "late to the party". Well maybe, but you euros had some late to the party thrill rides I must say.

Thanks for throwing the party, and I am glad you salute the Soviet Union as the ones that truly saved you. I wish it was up front and honest earlier, as you could have paid for your own defense and the American tax payer would not have gotten fleeced so much.

It's not hard to tell that you are a troll. You are obviously British. Terms such as "proper history, fancied, mind you," are all British.

You sound like a poster that used to live in upstate New York!

I will take that as a compliment. I am not British, well, my ancestry is that which is now the Uk, but no..I am very American.

And no, I really am not a troll. I might have an opinion that is rare here, but I think Brits can take. Whilst you might think me a troll, I am simply opinionated. And I rather like the British, truth be told. When you consider the contributions to art, science and literature alone, it is a nation worthy of respect.

Not a troll, but will upset the apple cart. Blimey.

You know what really is awful is the influence of English common law on our own Constitution. I say that as apparently we are not to be proud of our true founders....

The people that founded our nation were British, and it is obvious that we would borrow from the mother country. I imagine that is a bit of a quandry in the UK.

The USA is simply a product of British colonialism that went horribly wrong, and the rest of the world is paying the price now.

It does seem that the UK's troll education program(me)s do a poor job of issuing accurate Brit-Amuricahn dictionaries to their graduates.

If someone is going to pretend to be us, it isn't enough to be loud and fat. It is also necessary to use the correct vernacular.

The founding minds of the Revolution include of course Thomas Paine, who, having kicked the whole thing off ended his days back in Blighty. Paine's writings underpin the whole thing.

Why does anyone need to back their personal opinions up? A personal opinion is just that. Besides, from what I have witnessed over the last 12 years, most of what he said there in his article made perfect sense.

What a completely pointless and trollish post. It had absolutely nothing to do with the original article at all.
