Also, I hear rumblings that Sinn Fein/IRA are starting up the Irish reuinfication bollocks again. The UK I left and loved has essentially been dismantled by right-wing fearmongering.
Up the US, I suppose

You still have it good from a Canadian's point of view. Hubby's Canadian pension has been worth shit for a year now at something like $1 Cdn = .70 US. Sometimes it has been less.
It is a PITA when your financial assets are screwed with.

My impatience for my K1 to come through has grown even greater now we've decided to take the mystery box outside of the EU!
Well done Britain... Well done.

You know, like they'd say 'Up the 'Pool' at Anfield? I live in the US - complete the jigsaw.
The K1 doesn't take long once the ball is rolling. Hang in there, the US hasn't yet completely gone off the deep end. Hopefully you'll still want to be here after November

But no, you're a legal immigrant, he likes them. If you're Scottish, he might give you a passport right away.

Immediate impact of Brexit on me... my mortgage broker just contacted me and claims that the volatility in the market this morning means that they can knock 0.35% off my rate inclusive of closing costs.
We only closed in October. Anyone else seen something similar?

I had the same problem in 2009, it had dropped from just over $2 to $1.39 within 8 months. It appeared that it may have gone down even further. I eventually exchanged the proceeds of my house at $1.42. With hindsight I should have waited, but you never know how low things will go and how long you will need to wait for them to come back up.

There's no way I come out of this not looking like a world class douchecanoe.

1.50 down to 1.35 is not quite as bad as 2.10 down to 1.40. I very much doubt it will ever get close to $2 again in my lifetime
