So we spent a few relaxed days at Kamala Beach in a quiet well run hotel (we had a 3 room apartment). A short trip down to Patong Beach and we quickly saw that we had made the correct choice. Our little boy loved the sea and sandy beach and there some nice fresh food and warm sunshine that we all enjoyed.

General Rule: Anywhere but Patong.

But it's amazing how many people just book their holidays there without doing any homework first.
