Massage parlours
I need educating here. Are these all fronts for happy endings or do they give proper massages or both :-) ?

Re: Massage parlours
If its called a massage parlour then you will get a massage and probably anything else you want ! If its a Hotel Spa then you will get a proper and expensive massage.

Re: Massage parlours
The "parlours" with expensive looking interiors visible through a glass frontage and staffed by slightly older women who show no interest in you as you walk by are massage-only. Everything else offers the massages and happy endings. There's very little privacy though as you often end up on a mat or thin mattress separated from the next mat by a draw around curtain (like those in public hospital wards). Once I was receiving my massage when another customer came in and of all the mats in the room ended up next to mine. Well in less than 5 minutes they had negotiated that the masseur go with him to his hotel!

Re: Massage parlours
I've rarely been to a massage place that does not offer happy endings anywhere in Asia.
The exceptions are hotel/proper spa's (with high prices) and in Bangkok the Healthland chain of massage shops.

That may be the places you get your massages in though . Loads of cheap normal places all over Thailand .

Re: Massage parlours
Most places near night life areas, in Bangkok and Pattaya offer all services, however some massage places are massage only, it really depends on the policy of the place. If one likes to go to a massage only place, then one should take into account the attire of the girls sitting outside. Usually these places have older ladys who are not revealingly dressed. Alternatively anyone can still have a massage at a naughty place and refrain from any other services on offer.

Re: Massage parlours
Let's just say if you go to a massage place inside one of the big shopping malls, it's very unlikely to have "happy endings".
Same goes for places that have yoga studios attached, or the spas with the manicured garden areas that you walk through...
