First Christmas with the folks from home in Phuket....any ideas where?
hi all, would love your help. new to Bangkok and looking for a place to stay around Phuket over the Christmas holidays...anyone ideas of where or places to stay, prefer to have our own house or apartments....if you know of anything I'd be grateful....cheers

Welcome . For various reasons I won't go into here I'm not the best person to ask on this one but you might try and get hold of Baked Bean. She used to live there so I'm sure she can point you in the right direction.

Renting a house? Depends what you want to do I guess. I used to live in the south of the island. Nice scenery, beaches down there. The ex-PM used to holiday at Cape Panwa - that's very nice. Nai Harn also nice - very nice sheltered beach. if you're flying in, it will be a one hour drive though down the bottom of island.
Maybe take a look at one of the prop agents websites for rentals. Siam Real Estate has quite a lot. Just google and you'll find.
