Which isn't that easy. Your good friend the USA has objected to a deal between the UK and the EU to divide agricultural import quotas. That's the problem with the WTO: all have to agree. At the moment you don't have the agreement of the US, New Zealand, Brazil and Argentina to the division of the import quotas hence you will not be able to deal with anyone on WTO terms. So be prepared once the world is through with you there will be not much left of your sovereignty or money.

We never were "under the control of the EU". We were a partner among equals, albeit with special favourable conditions just for us. When leaving the EU, we remain a country with international obligations, needs and relationships (as well as domestic ones) all of which have to be managed - we are a State, not a 12-year-old picking up his ball and going home in a sulk because we don't agree with all the rules of the game.

Moral of tale - be careful what you vote for.

A 12-year-old spending quite a lot of his pocket money to keep in with his friends!

There are a lot of 12 year olds whose pocket money comes from the jobs provided by companies in the UK who rely on the trading relationship we take advantage of as an EU member. Some of them will work for Tata owned companies.

So the UK allows 12 year olds to work - does the EU know about this?

Christmas has come early.

Brexit will be a success story.

See? Even the Guardian says so

You need to steer clear of the obscurely tortuous (and grammatically incoherent) and stick to the crude and rude EMR we all know.

Now for the staggeringly unbelievable :
Quote:
Theresa May has failed to get the EU to agree that Britain will retain a voice at the European court of justice in return for her concession that the Luxembourg court will retain a role in protecting citizens’ rights in the UK after Brexit.
https://www.theguardian.com/politics...urt-of-justice

So there you go, all ye who have been arguing so strenuously for no role for the ECJ. Your chum Theresa actually tried to get UK participation in the court itself!

No wonder she didn't want to give a running commentary (good thing we can get that from elsewhere though, eh? )

R5 was running a feature on Christmas brexit songs.
Such as "All I want for Christmas is a Brexit, any Brexit."
The ukippers favourite, I'm dreaming of a white Brexit.
The variation of a Slade song,
I wish it could be brexit any day.

There must be many more.

No - they'll both claim that Brexit never had anything to do with freeing ourselves from the ECJ.
