Perhaps if you had been Welsh like me, had grown up in a Welsh mining community like me and lived with the utter devastation she brought upon the Welsh coal mining industry like me, whilst all the time lying about closing down the mines, you might have done a little jig too!

Reductio ad Thatcherum?
I wasn't talking about her Easter message.

Theresa May has said her Christian faith helps her make difficult decisions...

The Prime Minister said her belief in God means she has faith in her gut instincts as she defended her leadership style which has been criticised for shutting others out of the decision-making process.

Theresa May Says God And Her Faith Are Guiding Brexit Decisions
Theresa May has said her Christian faith is guiding her decisions around Brexit and that leaving the EU keeps her awake at night.

In a revealing interview with the Sunday Times Magazine, the PM described Britain as going through a “moment of change” that is “highly challenging”.

May said the country “had to get on” with a Brexit deal and revealed her faith helps her decide what is right and wrong when it comes to making the big decisions.

Theresa May has described how her faith in God makes her convinced she is “doing the right thing” as Prime Minister.
In a rare interview – in which she said the “hugely challenging” task of Brexit leaves her with little time for sleep – Ms May opened up about her Christian beliefs.
Speaking with the Sunday Times, the Prime Minister was asked how she steeled herself for the job and the tough decisions ahead,...

THE PM has admitted to having sleepless night over Brexit but says her faith in God will guide our path out of Europe.

It is part of me. It is part of who I am and therefore how I approach things,” Theresa May told Kirsty Young when asked about her faith on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs in November 2014. “I think it’s right that we don’t sort of flaunt these things here in British politics but it is a part of me, it’s there, and it obviously helps to frame my thinking.”

What kind of Christian is Theresa May?

British Prime Minister Theresa May says as a practicing member of the Church of England, her faith in God is behind every important decision she makes, including going forward with Brexit, or Britain leaving the European Union.

Ever had to scrape the snow of a coal slag heap with frozen fingers, trying to find enough tiny bits of coal to get a fire going in the house...and when you'd done that, do it again for your neighbour because she couldn't do it herself? Yeah...I'm sure you have!

Having worked in S Wales during tatchers time, I saw many parts turned into an industrial wasteland I can understand how those affected felt.
I certainly gave a cheer when Thatcher was kicked out by the Tories..

Would you have not cheered at the death of Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot and their like.
There are some whose actions fall outside even the tiniest part of human decency.

I certainly wouldn't be happy on anyone's death, and Thatcher did some good as well as bad- but here in the north east she destroyed communities with the effect still felt to this day. Generations have suffered because of her actions, and subsequent governments haven't been able to deal with.
