No, the average monthly wage in Portugal is far more than that. Are you perhaps thinking of the minimum wage, which is €565.83 per month? In Spain the legal minimum wage is €752.85.

This means that your hourly rate of approx €3.78 is below minimum wage in most of Western Europe. Hence the comments above about how low it is.

You may find you do better recruiting in other parts of the world though, perhaps you should adjust your requirements accordingly?

In which case, you might want to correct all the statistics online that state the average wage in Portugal is more than double your estimate, and that even the minimum wage is higher than your guessed 'average'.

Glad you've managed to recruit people, maybe if you actually pay them more than a living wage they'll stick around and you won't need to recruit again?
