Unique opportunity - Terracotta Warriors
For anybody interested in history - the MARQ Alicante (Archaeological Museum) currently has a fantastic exhibition of the Chinese terracotta warriors - it runs until
January 2024 (started in March so 1000s of people have already been) there is a small entrance charge (depending on age) and is CLOSED on Mondays.
I was told that it is not moving to any other locations in Spain or Europe when it closes (but don't have confirmation of this)
More here https://marqalicante.com/guerreros-de-xi-an/

There is also a nice terrace and bar within the MARQ grounds, car parking, tram/bus stops and car parking nearby. (As well as a huge indoor shopping mall - Plaza Mar nearby for those who are not interested and other nearby attractions)

Our neighbours saw this the other week but they did say if you can to book tickets before as its very busy, as they arrived too late on the first day and the tickets had all gone...
They booked that evening for the next day and they were impressed (not easy if you knew this couple)...
We are going to see about going in the next couple of weeks....

Yes probably best to book if you are travelling but as the end of the holiday season approaches and as I said it's been on for months the busy days should be over if you avoid weekends and yes you can get a tour in English but I heard the English is 'limited'

Although I did tick the English tour box....
We may go in the next couple of weeks and take the tram from Benidorm, just to add to the day out...

IMO the English tour is not essential - all of the exhibits have English translations alongside the Spanish.
Yes let the tram take the strain - cheap, easy and the MARQ stop is a 2-minute walk up to the museum.
Enjoy!

Not "essential" but I find guides have a lot more knowledge than printed on the exhibit labels. Well worth spending an "extra" 2euros over the admission price.
