I had been planning to buy a Spanish property and gave power of attorney to a lawyer as I'm not in Spain. I pulled out of the sale but it now seems that incredibly the lawyer had already changed the electric contract with Endesa into my name. Of course the power allowed him to do that but supposedly after completion. Or is it normal for them to jump the gun like this? He now thinks he's going to send a bill! Comments please.
