Default Spain & January 6th public holiday

Have booked flight to Alicante Jan 6th and have just realised it's a BIG public holiday !!!!!!
Will I still be able to get a taxi at the airport or will everything be shut down as in the UK on Christmas Day ???
May need to re-arrange flight to another day !
Will public buses still run or will all the drivers be taking a sickie...??
Thanks

Taxis and such should be no problem according to Cathy- my Spanish wife. "Reyes" (or 3 Kings day) is like Christmas for most of us- in as much as it is the day gifts are exchanged.

Yeah you will be OK, most shops and supermarkets closed but small shops and bars open so you wont starve, plenty of taxis, and the same fares as normal...
