Not as a matter of nationalist ideology. Same thing. Neither will "win". Both will suffer the same basic downsizing.

Andorra is already downsized. It's a tiny country with near zero political influence, but wealthy, yes, because the vast majority of its inhabitants already possess significant means, as its tax haven economy invites all kinds of "quiet" foreign money.

I've always said that Britain's only real option post-brexit is to adopt a tax haven economy, as it is all but entirely dependent upon foreign investment. Unfortunately, that structure only benefits those who already have means. And Britain (or England, as it may ultimately end up), isn't exactly flush with sustainable wealth. Most Brits are working class. And they vote. You can kiss the generous social system (including the NHS goodbye). It won't be pretty.

More like Kosovo, successful largely due to support of USA.
Or like Crimea, successful largely due to support of Russia.
Or like Pakistan, successful largely due to support of UK.

Barcelona has support of none of the Great Powers, not even China.
They did not have a carefully laid and detailed plan like Lenin on the (largely bloodless) day of the October Revolution.

Which only leaves them the tactics of India. But they are not some Ghandi dealing with kind-hearted Attlee's Britain. They are dealing with Brussles and Madrid, the successors to Franco. Who will crush them ruthlessly and mercilessly, like a beetle underfoot.
