Default NIF field on 720 form.

Hello,

Anybody know what you need to put in the as your British bank´s NIF when doing a 720? There don´tseem to be NIFs in the UK.

For example LLoyds bank I have a number from their website which says registered in England and Wales and is the number 2065.
Barclays bank says registertered in Enland and Wales 1021067.
Are these the numbers that need to be entered?

thanks

Have you searched for the answer as this has come up before on this forum?

I used the registration number of just left it blank where that wasn't applicable either.

Use the UK company registration number.

If you are doing it now, you have missed the boat for 2014 as it should have been submitted at the end of March.

Anyone should think carefully before submitting a late Form 720. Last week the Spanish El Confidencial online newspaper reported that a taxpayer who submitted a late declaration was hit with tax and fines totaling €439,000. His offshore assets were only €340,000, but the tax office treated the entire amount as unexplained income and added penalties.

He was a strange case... protesting that he was just an 'ordinary pensioner'
I don't know many ordinary pensioners with 340,000€ in a Swiss account.

Unfortunately we don't read about the Pujol family nor Barcenas receiving fines for their non-declarations of money in tax havens.
