Default Majorca - Property Prices

Have just returned from Majorca and have found that property prices in the South West part of the Island seem to have gone through the roof in the last 12 months.

Is this going to continue?

Any thoughts on whether it is better to buy now or wait?

Thanks

Martin

If you can afford it buy now.
Waiting will only confirm your own suspicions.

It's probably a good time to jump on the band wagon. Prices are unlikely to go down in such a sought after area.

Prices in Mallorca never seem to drop. Whilst the Germans come and go in their masses (depending on how good or bad their economy back home is) there are always plenty of people looking to buy.

If you haven't done so already, have a look at the North side as well. Pollensa, Alcudia etc.

Majorca/Mallorca is a gorgeous island and has so much to see. If I had the money I would buy there, as long as it is a long term investment you should be fine. Rentals may be hard to get though so make sure you don't need too many weeks rent to pay for a mortgage if you are getting one.

My parents bought there years ago and we go every year and never get bored of the place (we do go to other places too but Mallorca does have something special). Pollensa is lovely and also the south-east is gorgeous too.
