Post ITV in Spain

Can anyone give me information on how to get a British registered car an ITV?
The car is a German import registered in the UK, so is to european spec.
However, we are not sure what to do about the MOT and Road Tax.
We have expat insurance, so that is not a problem just help with ITV.

You need to Register the car in Spain if it's going to be here for longer than 6 Months, then you can ITV it, if you ITV a non-Spanish car it means next to nothing because you still won't receive a sticker for your windscreen, only the paper documentation to say you bothered to do it.

Road tax can't be paid on the car unless you register it in Spain, hence if your cars here longer than 6 Months unregisted it's illegal and can be seized by the police if they so wish.

I recommend sell it and buy a Spainsh registed car if your cars going to be here a long length of time, it's less hassle.

Good Luck

Talking

Hi, you need to get in touch with a spanish solicitor who will speak to the Trafico department (or you can do it yourself if you speak the lingo) in your city to get you a price on registering it, however this can cost you fees and a percentage of what the car is worth to do so.
