Change pound coins to euro
 

Hello everyone,

I have some spare change from a trip abroad, any idea where to change them in Spain?

Exchange places are unlikely to change coins, at least I've never seen it, usually only notes, which is why airlines will often collect spare foreign money on freturn trips as, unless you will visit again, they are pretty well useless. A word of warning to people with spare foreign cash, if you have saved UK coins and notes remember that the old pound coins, £5 and £19 notes are no longer legal tender in the UK, my wife was on a bus and someone tried to pay his fare with an old £5 at first then when that was rejected an old £10. Caused the driver no end of problems, in the end he had to let the passenger off to go to a bank to change them and then return to the bus. Obviously the passenger had saved his money from a previous trip.

You need a British bank
They could be changed in Gibraltar but hardly worth the trip for you.
