"Certificate of Penal Conduct" (British)
Hi to all members,
I am 18, was born in Marbella and have lived in Spain all my life.
I have a British passport.
I want to apply now for a Spanish passport so that I can get into a Spanish State Uni.
I have been told that I need to attain a:
“”Certificate of Penal Conduct” issued by the UK police. So this is my question:
Q) What is this certificate’s proper title and where do I apply for it? (ie in Brit. Embassy or Consulate Madrid or in the UK?)
I am desperate for any help on this subject.
I would also desperately like to hear from anyone who has got into a Spanish State uni having lived all his or her life in Spain, as I have.
Please, Please get back to me ASAP.
Thanks
Vincent.

I think you will need to contact Madrid and tell them your circumstances.
I can`t see how the UK police can be involved if you have never lived there.

JDR is spot on.
The stance of non support by the Met is amusing seeing as they insist upon a Criminal Records Bureau check as part of their employment process.
As a non resident of the UK you wouldnt qualify for a UK Criminal Records Bureau check.
You would only qualify for the spanish equivalent, if it exists.
