I think a marina would do that (but the OH doesn't want more concrete) but not sure that a water park would have such a big impact. IMO. I wouldn't vote against it though.
Am I missing something? Is a water park all positive or are there negatives for CE?

"pray" do you think it will make a big positive impact on CE eg property prices, improve or make it a better area etc?

It may sell a few apartments to landlord types who would see it as an additional attraction.
So I think the balance would be positive but marginal

I would think that the effect on Esuri will be marginal but positive. If it is positioned before the viaduct into Esuri the no of day visitors will be marginal since there will be restaurants and other attractions within the water park to detain them there. It may be that a few golfers on holiday in Portugal will drop family off before enjoying a round on Esuri.

But if the footfall was there maybe other resto's bars would consider opening up on Esuri to capture the new potential market, you drive past Esuri now and would'nt know whats available, there are no signs to indicate a bar or golf clubhouse?.

At the moment there would'nt be much reason for them to come into Esuri to eat or drink, we only have the golf club resto & Bar,plus the local,so doubt they would pull the crowds in?.

Re: Ayamonte Waterpark
That just sums up the attitude of the Mayor with regard to the existence of Costa Esuri. There is the huge redundant Fadesa sign (in a very dilapidated state). This could be refreshed at some cost but would be a wonderful very visible signal to all where CE is and that there are 2 Campo de Golf.

It will also create much needed jobs for local people, regards Bryony

Re: Ayamonte Waterpark
That would be perhaps the best thing about the exercise. Were 400 jobs mentioned, that would really be a boost to the town and especially CE since they would be easily accessible without a bus or other transport from CE. However they would be seasonal (so no contract which is so important for Health and Pension prospect) and mostly at or below minimum hourly rate.
There would be a few management positions but I assume they would be allocated to colleagues of the proprietor and the Mayor.

Just heard in passing during another conversation that the Ayuntamiento has received an objection to this developments from the conservation lobby.
It is surprising but there is a strong ecological lobby in Spain particularly in Andalucia.
Those who have been around this club from the beginning may remember that there was very strong lobby against the total development that continued long after Fadesa had started earth moving for the courses and early building. Indeed I think it was as late as 2007/8 before Andalucia issued the final certificate that made the development totally legal. I have a copy of that certificates stored away securely just in case.
