Question Air Conditioning

Does anyone know of air conditioning experts around Ayamonte/ Costa Esuri please? - apart from Wilfredo who seems to be far too busy.

Who's Wilfredo? (We'll be looking for a central air installer by summer).

Yes Wilfredo does a good job on installation but that is it! I won't go further at this stage as I am still waiting for him to fix a problem we have with our installation (18 months and 6 phone calls now)

The biggest and longest running problem with aircon in the apartments is with the pre-fit done by Fadesa. This problem has existed to a greater or lessor extent since 2005 when the first apartments were handed over. There have been pipe blockages, joint problems and ducting problems.

I would suggest that using someone who has long expirience of dealing with the initial fit is a very wise move. I asked Wilfrado for advice and to price our heating/cooling system but for various reasons to do with our main contractor others were used. However at least 3 friends of ours have used Wifrado to complete their pre-fit and have been very satisfied however his annual maintenance is problematic probably as said before due to too much work.

The company that we used and recommended on the forum is below. They are in Portugal but have done installations on Esuri. They did a great job for us, including a pressure test we asked for initially to check there were no leaks in the pipes.

We had some problems a while after the installation (not their fault) and they were very helpful as well.

Ive no connection with the company..... feel free to mention my name..

Good luck

Jon

PS FYI we have a duplex and we put 2 systems in, one for the upstairs bedroom and a separate one for the downstairs area. This way we are not heating/cooling the whole place. Also our vents fitted by Fadesa are 'closable' meaning you can shut it off (Ive posted about all this somewhere) but you have to pull the cassette out of the wall and manually shut off the vanes

Thanks guys - useful information. We have a dual system in our town house as well, and we found that simply installing a curtain at the bottom of the stairs keeps most of the heat downstairs, and the system is far more efficient.

Finally found a very helpful installer to fix the air-con problem next door very quickly and do the maintenance on our air-con.
Due to a very bad installation (the fault tripped the electric) next door a complete unit had to be replaced. This company installed a low energy silent system at a very reasonable cost and all works fine.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them for new installation and maintenance of your current system:
They are Ayaclima email: [email protected]
Not much English so an email is better than telephone call.

Thumbs up Re: Air Conditioning

Hi John & Cath
According to the business card they are located in Ayamonte - They just installed the air-con at the shop in Esuri and that is where I got the info. Incidentally, the shop is becoming quite a social meeting place.
