well thats costa del sol. theres loads of companies.

price is around 600€ install and >40€ a month, including fone calls. (good deal on calls, our landline is like...125€ per 2 months)

A new Spanish group are to offer the ideal solution for communities situated in locations that offer no facility for telephone land line and Internet communication.

The following is a simplistic non technical explanation of the system. A technical overview is available for seriously interested parties...

The company has developed a communication system which combines the use of satellite or infra-red technology linked to a ground based aerial antenna and an ADSL network. The system directs radio waves to any house within a reasonable visual range and by attachment of a user connector (a node) to any contracted house.

Each house may connect both a computer/s and/or a telephone.
Telephone call charges should be less than normal land line charges.
ADSL internet connection from the host will be high speed with a monthly charge below that usually required by the general broad band internet providers.
€15 per month maximum is envisaged

Individual costs per household will depend on:-
A. Siting of the property in relation to the aerial.
B. The Number of aerial/repeaters etc required.
C. Cost of the ADSL network and licence.
D. The number of PCs/telephones to be connected to each particular house.

It is proposed that costs for the total system be shared between each Development company and the respective House Owners as follows.

Developer. It is proposed that the developer pays for the Central Node & Main Antenna and the System Installation.

House Owners on the urbanisation. To form a company and share between each contracted owner the cost of the ADSL network and the Router which divides and controls the service to each house.

Whilst it is theoretically possible to connect up to 124 properties to one Antenna Network, in practice we recommend limiting this to 60 properties; any more to be subject to site survey.

Additional capabilities

Where properties are outside the range or line of sight of the main or secondary aerial antenna network there are additional opportunities for connection.

1 A property may only need to have a mini booster aerial fitted to the house.

2. Where the example No 1 is not practical or the maximum preferred number of users on the initial antenna system has been reached, a secondary aerial antenna (node repeater) may be installed. This additional antenna is radio linked and feeds off the original ADSL network without detriment to the system response.

3. Dependant on the size and topography of the housing development up to 4 repeater antenna systems may be added, together with their additional properties.

Costs involved for the initial system are approximately as follows (to be confirmed at time of final order presentation.). The figures in blue columns represent proposed division of costs between a Developer and the House owners.

Alternatively a developer may choose to install the total solution, adding an appropriate increase to his house prices but greatly improving the properties marketing appeal with the confirmed availability of Telephone and ADSL services.
