Registration for voters abroad begins
For those expats who are interested in voting:

Applications for registration are open with immediate effect and take place during normal office hours of the various missions until Friday, 7 February 2014.
Those unable to register during office hours could do so during two special registration weekends on 18 and 19 January and on 25 and 26 January.

Please note: Only a green bar-coded ID, a valid Temporary Identification Certificate or a Smart Card are accepted for registration purposes. No other document will be accepted.

Just noticed that 16 year olds can vote too. Looks like both my boys will be going to the High Comm then.
Strange how they don't accept a SA passport instead of an ID book.

Is true that if I dont vote then my vote automatically counts for the ruling party?
