Default Buying a car in Slovenia

I am a UK citizen temporally living in Slovenia and want to buy a used car locally through a car dealer.
What paperwork would I need to buy and register a car in Slovenia?
I assume I would need a Slovenian Tax number?
Would I also need a temporary residence certificate?

Any suggestions would be useful!

If you are buying with cash then to register it, you need to have your temporary resident ID and tax number. Also for insurance.
