Has anyone stayed at the Traders Hotel in Singapore recently?

Not stayed there recently but it is (was) a good hotel and in a great location down Tanglin Road not too far to Orchard Road. You might want to try googling for tripadvisor Traders Singapore - they usually have up to date reviews.

haven't been recently- almost 2 years infact. But going again in July. Good location. We had the deluxe rooms and I would say they were a bit on the small side. Brilliant restaurant there

Haven't stayed there but know the location well - it's a bit out of the action but only ten minutes from Orchard Road, which is the main shopping strip.

It's a Shangri La hotel so should be ok, and the seafood restaurant by the pool is fantastic.

I can't edit my post now but in the sober light of day I wanted to clarify that's ten minutes walk, not drive, so it's still a pretty handy location.

Hi, I stayed at Traders in SIN last August for 2 weeks, thoroughly enjoyed myself there. There was some work going on to improve the Reception / Restaurant area ( the waterfall wasn't working while I was there ). Rooms could be classed on the slightly small size but very clean and tidy, staff and service were excellent. Breakfast wasn't included but was an amazing buffet - recommended . The gym and pool were very good as well.
I will go back to Traders if / when I get back to SIN.

thank you everyone, flying to NZ with Singapore Airlines and they seem to have some good deals with hotels and Traders was one of them.
