12 nights in Singapore

12 nights in Singapore
We are going to holiday in Singapore in September.
We'd like to see some of the attractions of Sentosa but also want to visit the city and shopping etc.
Is it easy to go and do Sentosa in chunks or would it be best to go there for 3 -4 nights, staying on the island instead?
Views would be welcome.

Re: 12 nights in Singapore
12 nights is a longish time in Singapore.
You might consider a night or so up in Malacca, either hire a car or there are loads of good buses every day.
We love holidaying in Malacca.
A couple of nights on Sentosa would also work., but doing it with day trips is also no problem.
For the family you might also consider the Zoo (night safari ) and Bird park.

Sentosa 2 days, city 3 days max (zoo, MBS, gardens by Bay, Chinatown, etc.). Are you here for F1?

Trouble with both Batam and Bintan is there is very little to see and do unless you play golf.
OK you've got the ferry trip there and back ...
Or unless you are an old chinese gent looking for a young person, either sex, to satisfy certain needs.

Sorry to disagree with others but, and especially if this is your first time to Singapore and maybe south-east Asia, you will find plenty to do in Singapore for 12 nights.
There are loads of parks. The cable car to/from Sentosa to Mount Faber. If it's chucking it down, there are the malls. The zoo. Museums. Boat Quay. Peranakan Place.
You're coming from UK?? First few days will need some adjustment re jet-lag. If you have kids with you (?) maybe more so.
If you've not experienced south-east Asia before, you will also need to adjust to the climate.
Go for it and Enjoy!!
Just to say....I used to live in Singapore. I went back in January and spent a whole week. I wasn't bored. Plenty to do and plenty to see.

Listing the things you could do....
Sentosa 2 days for USS, Aquarium / Adventure Cove and Sentosa activities itself (beach, zip line etc.)
1 day for MBS, Promenade, Merlion Park, Maxwell / LPS, Chinatown, and Orchard Road.
Singapore Zoo, River Safari, Night Safari visits
Botanical Gardens, East Coast Park......
I'd say max enough just for a week but for 12 days definitely no.

Re: 12 nights in Singapore
Love visiting Singapore - so much to do. 12 nights is quite a long time but am sure you can be kept busy.
Sentosa as said before is very easily accessible and can visit for a day or stay longer - might be a good idea for a few nights towards the end of your break for rest and relaxation. Lots of great places to eat. Love Clarke Quay and the Highlander (although a few years now since I was last there).
Chinatown, little India, Arab Quarter, Raffles, Singapore Flyer and then the shopping... so much shopping.
The zoo is worth a visit and I did love the night safari too - very hot though.
Have a fabulous time!
