Frontier workers customs allowance
I'm totally confused! Does anybody know the cigarette allowance if you live within 20km of Gibraltar. Is it 200 a month plus 40 per day. If it's just the 200 can they fine you for having a packet in your handbag if they stop you again?

I believe it is 80 per month if you live within 15 km of the frontier, otherwise 200 per month.
However if you take 20 or 40 ( 1 open packet and 1 new packet ) at a time you should be OK until you are stopped and entered into their computer when any subsequent check that reveals you have exceeded the monthly amount could lead to prosecution.
