Default Triazolam - serious questions

Someone on here will have used it. I have a prescription for one pill (0.25mg).

How long does it take to kick in?
How far into la-la land do you go?
How long does it last?

Any feedback much appreciated. The procedure is a week away and I'm already fretting big time.

fair enough, though doesnt it cause memory loss so you dont remember the procedure? People that have taken may not remember enough to be of help.

anyway, i havent taken it. sorry i cant be more helpful

though in my experience, pharmacists are highly trained and very helpful

OK. I'm just a bit worried. It's an unpleasant dental procedure. It's right at the back of my mouth, which is a no-go area at the best of times (I'm a gagger, big time). I'll be in the chair for three hours. The dentist knows my concerns, hence the pill. I have to get there an hour before, to take the pill. From what I can make out, it will only work for a couple of hours. That means that it will wear off long before the procedure is over. That scares me. I'm not afraid about pain but some things just give me the shivers. Heaven help me if I ever need an MRI. I'd have to be bound and gagged and hit round the head with a 2x4.

I second that. Had it once and it was great for calming the nerves. I didn't have a clue what was happening, it was fantastic!

Souv if you are that apprehensive get them to knock you out cold.

I had major dental surgery 2 and a bit weeks ago, and didn't know a blind thing about it.

It was awesome (well apart from drawing blood on the dental nurses arm as they tried to get the IV thingy in - but thats by the by - she'll recover.)

Triazolam is a sedative.

To answer another post, being knocked-out isn't an option in this case. I will need to be awake to bite, grind etc.

OK. I had always assumed that "sedation dentistry" was Canadian for being knocked out cold.

Souvy??? WTF? You are every girl's answer to Jonny Depp on here ....and we'd all prefer you...unless Oink were on offer of course! ...however, my husband has just recently taken this drug during a rootcanal procedure...and suffered no problems whatsoever, what are you worried about? These are non problematic jobs, as far as I know ( I speak, as being a 'problem' who can't sleep without tablets) you will be more than fine!
