VEVO - PR status still showing "In Effect" for a new AU citizen
Ok so I recently got my Australian citizenship certificate and my Australian passport. Out of curiosity today I just checked my VEVO visa entitlement details online. As of this hour, I am a "permanent resident".

It takes a couple of days for immigration to receive the confirmation that you've attended the ceremony and for them to change your status to citizen

I wouldn't worry about it. VEVO indicates my OH doesn't have a visa at all. Useless system, one reason why I still advise people to get the visa label.

VEVO may never be updated. If you're an Australian citizen now, why does it matter? Are you concerned that DIAC may forget to update their citizenship records?

They have been advertising vevo all over the radio as the new way to check your staff are legal to work. Doesn't look too good if they can't even update it.

Updating it from PR to reflect citizenship isn't important - updating it to show someone on a visa is eligible to work in Australia is important. Not changing it to show someone is a citizen is a non-issue.

My VEVO page is now almost blank, it's now only showing my foreign passport no. and visa type.
And I attempted to apply online for citizenship and got this message:
The following errors have been encountered:
You are not eligible to use this service as our records indicate that you may already be an Australian citizen.
