Looks like for prima casa at least, this is now suspended (maybe even abolished) for the June payment. It's possible that 2012 payments could also be refunded. If so, will leave a big hole in the government finances that without growth in the economy will have to be plugged from elsewhere.

When Grillo said Italy would be bankrupt by Autumn he wasnt far wrong. PUblic employees have enough cash in the kitty to pay them till September. Then waht? Not the time to cut taxes - especially IMU - those who are worst off didnt pay - the people who will save will be single/couples in large houses. And second homes, ie non resident homes will be clobbered to make up some money.

I'm (re)starting to think we really should think about leaving the country before it all goes completely t*ts up . .as if it isn't already.
