Or better still, use a UK company. As you are resident in UK, why not use a UK insurance company?

Most UK companies restrict the duration of cover, but I believe SAGA offer unlimited cover for EU.

Liberty Seguros in Los Montesinos have a sign in their window to say they insure British cars so I would assume that all their branches do.

We have used Abbeygate for the last couple of years before changing our plates. They speak English and are very helpfull

I checked this with Saga in January and the do cover for unlimited time but the car must return to the UK before 6 months is up. Then you are OK to return to Spain.

If you live in Spain perhaps you should put it on Spanish plates. Or do you take it back to the UK to have an MOT done every year.
