Just be aware that nursing jobs are a bit thin on the ground in Queensland at the moment and the Sunshine coast is never an easy place to find work

Nursing jobs on the Sunshine Coast are very difficult to come by at the moment. There are so many new graduates looking for a first job and there are a lot of experienced nurses looking for work too, so competition is fierce.
What kind of nursing are you looking for?

The job market, by all accounts, isn't very good at present!

Vacancies arise for practice nurses from time to time, usually advertised in the local paper the sunshine coast daily, although seek.com.au advertise from time to time, not as often as they used to though. When I first came several years ago, I got email alerts about nursing jobs from seek almost daily for jobs on the sunshine coast, now I get one every few months if that. I was a practice nurse in the UK before moving here but ended up not going down that route here for various reasons and went back into mental health (which is also extremely difficult to get a job in on the sunshine coast).
You might want to contact one of the big companies that has chains of medical centres, especially if you need sponsorship, although you would be better getting an independent visa.

go on the site Focus Health Network, always practice nurse jobs going, I worked there for 6 years . Failing that you can be like me and use your practice nurse skills by working in a prison!!! Mind you I only did this as we relocated to Victoria, but there are loads of prisons in QLD, good pay and if Victoria is anything like QLD jobs always going!! Shout if you need any advice!
