Wherever you can get good jobs and afford to live the lifestyle you desire in that particular location. For us it's Airdrie, Alberta.

Where you want to go initially may well be a million miles away from where you end up living.

Most money to be earned might not be best place to live, eg fort McMurtry oil sands or northern territories depends on your skills and what you can buy where your skills are needed. Eg nurse job northern territories pay $190,000 per year plus overtime
