Default IELTS grading

My wife (secondary applicant) did her IELTS test in December 2010 and scored 6 for listening, 5.5 for reading, 6.5 for writing and 7 for speaking. Overall band score is 6.5

Grades given in DIAC website are as follows:

Superior
Proficient
Competent
Concessional Competent
Vocational
Functional
Limited
None

However, the grades given in IELTS TRF are as follows:

Expert user - Band 9
Very good user - Band 8
Good user - Band 7
Competent user - Band 6
Modest user - Band 5
Limited user - Band 4
Extremely limited user - Band 3
Intermittent user - Band 2
Non user - Band 1

Therefore, my questions are follows:

1. Which grading in the DIAC website should we select?
2. Where can we find this informtion in immi site?

Please note that we have received SS from WA and hope for apply for sublcass 475 visa.

As secondary applicant she needs to get 4.5 overall score. So it should be ok. But it must not be older than 12 months. So she probably needs to take the test again.

Hi musicalfever4,

She got 6.5 (overall), so wchich should we select from the DIAC site (drop down menu)?

The site says exam must have been taken within 24 months.

Use "Competent"
Also, she would need to give IELTS again as it is valid for 12 months for secondary applicants

24 month is for primary applicant, secondary mustn't be older than 13 months.
